Located in King and Pierce counties with a population of just over 7,000, Milton is a small family-friendly city. Locals describe the area as “quiet, but always busy.” At just one mile long, it’s easy not to even realize you’re in Milton.

Given its size, there aren’t a lot of things to do in Milton proper, however, with its close proximity to larger towns like Edgewood, Federal Way, and Auburn and big cities like Seattle and Tacoma, there’s no shortage of activities. Seattle is just 30 minutes away, while Tacoma is a short 15-minute jaunt.

As one would expect in the Pacific Northwest, the climate is damp or rainy most of the year, although the summers are usually beautiful.

In recent years, the city has made improvements to the roads, as well as adding new sidewalks and lighted paths, providing residents with safe places to walk at night, while creating a more dynamic, family-friendly feel.

Triangle Park, the city’s main park, is popular among locals. A community park, it has a beautiful memorial honoring veterans. While the city is small, most locals love Milton, boasting the town’s welcoming attitude towards newcomers of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
